Annie Song is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus California Educator Diversity Action Network Member. She is a kindergarten teacher in Alhambra, California, and a teacher educator at California State Polytechnic University in Pomona. Annie is a member of the Literacy Performance Assessment Design Team at the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing and Educator Advisory Council at Ed-Trust West. In several educator roles, she led initiatives around welcoming environments and equitable access. Annie began her teaching career in New York and has taught various grades K-6. She authored and edited instructional texts at the Los Angeles County Office of Education, California State University, Los Angeles, and California Polytechnic University in Pomona. She earned a BA in liberal studies with a minor in English from the University of California, Riverside; teaching credential from California State University, Northridge; and MEd in reading instruction from California State University, Fullerton. She is pursuing an educational leadership doctorate.
