Annie Song is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus California Educator Diversity Action Network Member. She is a kindergarten teacher in Alhambra, California, and a teacher educator at California State Polytechnic University in Pomona. Annie is a member of the Literacy Performance Assessment Design Team at the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing and Educator Advisory Council at Ed-Trust West. She is pursuing an educational leadership doctorate and has research interests in multilingual learning, teachers-of-color, and equity-centered instruction. In several educator roles, she led initiatives around welcoming environments and equitable access. Annie began her teaching career in New York and has taught various grades K-6 in Southern California. She earned a BA in liberal studies with a minor in English from the University of California, Riverside; teaching credential from California State University, Northridge; and MS Ed in reading instruction from California State University, Fullerton.
