Soya Moore teaches 8th grade pre-algebra at Raleigh Egypt Middle, where she sponsors student council and is the girls’ track team head coach. Soya has served as teacher effectiveness ambassador, learning coach, team lead and special education department co-chair. As fellow advisor and seminar leader for TNTP, Soya has worked to support and develop teachers. She is a recipient of the Barbara Bolton Distinguished Service award and has completed a two year fellowship with the National Academy of Advanced Teacher Education. Soya graduated from the University of Memphis with a BA in Sociology and a Master’s in Public Administration, and from Freed-Hardeman University with an EdS in Educational Leadership.
