Taylor Spieker is a 2025 Teach Plus National Teacher Policy Cabinet member, she is an English as a Second Language teacher at Ridge View Elementary School in Belgrade, Montana. She focuses on creating and facilitating language-centered lessons for elementary students and leads professional development district-wide on inclusive practices and research-based strategies to support multilingual students.
With a diverse teaching background, Taylor holds leadership roles at her school such as a member of the Student Achievement Panel, working to develop and maintain high-level practices, and serving on the district-wide ELD team to advise on district-level support for multilingual students.
Taylor began her teaching career through the NxtGen scholarship program at the University of Colorado at Denver, which prepared her to teach in urban settings. She then taught kindergarten in Denver Public Schools before moving to Montana, where she taught 4th, 5th, kindergarten, and ESL.
Taylor holds a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education, both from the University of Colorado at Denver.
