Dr. Ciminy St. Clair is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Policy Fellow. She is a gifted coordinator at Norwin Middle School in North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. Ciminy began her teaching career in Virginia as a 1st grade teacher before she moved to her current district’s gifted department more than 20 years ago. She was named in the Top 100 Visionaries in Education by the Global Forum for Education and Learning. Ciminy is the immediate past president of the Pennsylvania Association for Gifted Education (PAGE) and a director for Supporting the Emotional Needs of the Gifted (SENG). She earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary and early childhood education from Pennsylvania State University and holds a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Gannon University, a Gifted Endorsement from Millersville University, and her doctorate in educational leadership from Liberty University, focusing on the underachievement of the gifted population.
