David Staggs is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Indiana Policy Fellow. He teaches high school world history and economics, and coaches girls basketball at Purdue Polytechnic High School in the Broad Ripple neighborhood of Indianapolis. David focuses on bringing high-quality Advanced Placement instruction to his campus, as well as building a Federal Aviation Administration program to expand students’ opportunities. He has served as a mentor teacher, host teacher, testing coordinator, lead teacher, and leadership resident. David has a BA in history from Indiana University and MA in English from Southern New Hampshire University.
