Stephanie Mejia is working to develop better instructional practices and understandings to improve student growth. Stephanie teaches 6th grade English Language Arts and social studies at Nixon Elementary School, where she is a member of the instructional leadership team, the local school council, and coaches Girls on the Run. Stephanie cofounded the Nixon Literacy Team and works on the school multi-tiered support systems team. Stephanie has previously served as a member of the Network 4 Teacher Leadership Institute. Stephanie earned a BA in History from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana and a MEd in secondary education from DePaul University.
