Steven M. Roseman is a 2019-20 Teach Plus Change Agent Teacher Leader. Steven teaches 11th and 12th grade honors humanities at Michele Clark Magnet High School. He is also the restorative practice director, where he leads a team of support for taff members who manage all behavioral and social-emotional student needs. Steven has developed partnerships for his school with the FISLL Foundation and Emote, leadership and SEL organizations respectively, the first of their kind for CPS, and led the team that won Clark an inaugural Obama Foundation Civic Action Award. Additionally, Steven has led trainings at the school and district levels on curriculum development, classroom management, inquiry instruction, and restorative practices. He has also written assessments for the district and will serve as an opportunity school new teacher mentor in 2019-20. Steven graduated from N.E.I.U. with a dual BA in Social Science and Secondary Education after spending 12 years as a working theatre actor, writer, and director.
