Robin Stevens is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus New Mexico Alumni Policy Fellow. Robin is a 6th grade English/language arts teacher at Highland Middle School in Hobbs, New Mexico. She is a member of Highland’s Leadership Team and Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) Site Team. With teaching experience in districts across New Mexico and time as an elementary principal, Robin is passionate about elevating the education system through collaborative, supportive, continuous improvement processes involving all stakeholders. Robin completed the National Institute for School Leadership’s (NISL) Executive Development Program and is a New Mexico Teach Plus SEL Change Agent Network alumna. Robin currently serves on the New Mexico Public Education Department’s Secretary Teacher Advisory and is a member of the New Mexico Teacher Leader Network. She earned a BA in elementary education from University of the Southwest, an MEd in curriculum and instruction from University of Phoenix, and administrative credentials through NISL at Eastern New Mexico University.
