Tianna Tafoya-Stafford is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Colorado Policy Fellow. She is a 5th grade teacher leader, Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) Coordinator, and basketball coach at Centennial Elementary in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Tianna’s focus is on teaching children in the general education classroom and mentoring new staff within the school and district. She has also served as a 3rd grade teacher and Girls on the Run (GOTR) coach. Tianna earned her BA in elementary education from the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley, and MA in special education from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs.
