Jason Ware is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Illinois Affinity Group Facilitator and the Dean of Students for Rosa Parks Middle School in Harvey, Illinois. He is currently leading and developing school-wide restorative practices as well as developing the capacity of teachers and staff to utilize trauma-informed approaches. He also coaches and supports teachers to differentiate instruction and implement strategies in their classrooms in order to meet the academic and social-emotional needs of the students. He previously taught in Chicago Public Schools for six years as a special education teacher and was a Teach Plus Change Agent. Jason began his teaching career at Austin High School as a Teach for America corps member and has since taught various grades and subjects between K-12 levels. He earned his BA in sociology and economics from DePaul University and his MEd from Relay Graduate School, Chicago.
