Kimberly Washington is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Arkansas Policy Fellow a 6th-grade social studies teacher and a Little Rock School District mentor at Horace Mann Magnet Middle School in Little Rock. She has held several leadership roles as a mentor-student teacher for college students and field-experience college students. Kimberly was named Teacher of the Year in 2006 and in 2023; Aspiring Leadership Institute Graduate of Little Rock School District (2023). Kimberly began her teaching career as an elementary teacher in 1990 with the Little Rock School District teacher and transitioned to a secondary teacher in 2008. She earned her BSE in elementary and secondary education from the University of Central Arkansas and the University of Arkansas in Little Rock. She earned an MEd in educational leadership from Grand Canyon University.
