Whitney Feist and her colleagues are working to support students in mathematical problem-solving and explaining their thinking in writing. Whitney teaches 3rd grade at Synergy Charter Academy in South Los Angeles, where she has been a lead teacher since 2015. After receiving her multi-subject credential, Whitney spent a year teaching at a bilingual middle school in Colombia. She graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a BA in Psychology and a MA in Education.
