Nicole Wyglendowski

Nicole Wyglendowski is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Senior Policy Fellow. Nicole is a special education teacher for grades K-3 at Edward T Steel Elementary School in Philadelphia. She serves as her school’s building representative for the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers. Additionally, she trains teachers districtwide about Policy 252, the policy that is working to stop gendered policies/rules in schools. Nicole began her teaching career as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Taiwan. Nicole was a National Endowment of the Humanities scholar. She graduated first in her class at Rowan University for her undergraduate work in both of her majors, earning her two medallion awards. Nicole is an active Working Educators member. She earned her BA in elementary education and special education, and in English from Rowan University. She earned her MS in education policy from The University of Pennsylvania.
