Alicia Young is 2024-2025 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Policy Fellow. She is a 2nd grade teacher at Bentworth Elementary in Bentleyville, Pennsylvania. She serves on her school’s Positive Behavior and Intervention Support team and is the teacher liaison for the Kidsburgh: Parents as Allies program for the district. Alicia began her teaching career at Bentworth in 2014, before working as a paraprofessional beginning in 2012. She earned her BS in elementary instruction and her MS in special education from Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. She recently completed her principal certification from Carlow University in Pittsburgh.
