As Executive Assistant for External Affairs and Regional Impact, Leigha will provide administrative and operational support to the Regional Impact and External Affairs teams, including managing calendars, making travel arrangements, handling expenses, and supporting communications and event planning. Leigha is a seasoned executive assistant with over 10 years of experience supporting C-suite executives. Her diverse background includes studies in anthropology at Harvard University and an internship at UN Women focused on gender equity and women’s economic empowerment.
Before Teach Plus, Leigh served as EA and Partnership Coordinator at the Education Development Center (EDC), Leigha played a key role in implementing the Y.E.S. Campaign, a 6000-member international network focused on Youth, Entrepreneurship, and Sustainability. After her time at the EDC, Leigha provided administrative support to the Chairman & Co-Founder of The Bridgespan Group, an international nonprofit consulting firm, where she worked with social change organizations like the Harlem Children’s Zone and BigBrothers Big Sisters of America, philanthropies and collaborative initiatives, and provided logistical board support for The Gates Foundation, The Nature Conservancy, and Harvard Business School’s Social Enterprise Initiative.
Leigha’s dedication to social impact is evident in her work, where she continuously seeks opportunities to drive positive change alongside bold, mission-driven executives. Outside of work, she is an avid traveler with experience in several archaeological digs, and a dedicated volunteer for community-based organizations. She currently resides in Massachusetts, along with her partner and two dogs.
