Leigha Hayward

As Director, Executive Support and Strategy, Leigha will play a critical role in building structures to operationalize the Regional Impact and Operations teams. Leigh will continue to provide executive support to  the Chief Regional Impact and Operations Officer directly and take on special projects with our Chief of Staff and within the Office of the CEO. Leigha brings extensive enthusiasm and readiness for the role, given her background as a best-in-class project manager and her deep expertise in navigating cross-functional teams within nonprofits.

Before Teach Plus, Leigh served as EA and Partnership Coordinator at the Education Development Center (EDC), Leigha played a key role in implementing the Y.E.S. Campaign, a 6000-member international network focused on Youth, Entrepreneurship, and Sustainability. After her time at the EDC, Leigha provided administrative support to the Chairman & Co-Founder of The Bridgespan Group, an international nonprofit consulting firm, where she worked with social change organizations like the Harlem Children’s Zone and BigBrothers Big Sisters of America, philanthropies and collaborative initiatives, and provided logistical board support for The Gates Foundation, The Nature Conservancy, and Harvard Business School’s Social Enterprise Initiative.

Leigha’s dedication to social impact is evident in her work, where she continuously seeks opportunities to drive positive change alongside bold, mission-driven executives. Outside of work, she is an avid traveler with experience in several archaeological digs, and a dedicated volunteer for community-based organizations. She currently resides in Massachusetts, along with her partner and two dogs.
