She is a founding member of Team Texas, and over the past seven years, Sofie has played a key role in our work with Harmony Public Schools. Over the past five years, Sofie has been instrumental in developing and growing the Harmony Teacher Advisory Cabinet, which today serves as a vital resource for Harmony stakeholders. In leading this work, Sofie has spearheaded the organization of resources to train teachers in research communication and advocacy skills to develop and share creative solutions. She has also ensured that the voices of cabinet members were heard and utilized to bring forth recommendations when identifying problems of practice in collaboration with Harmony administrators. Throughout the years, the cabinet has grown in size and interest.
