As Illinois Early Childhood Education Policy Manager, Aubry will manage the ECE program and policy strategy in Illinois and leverage relationships that enable teachers to impact critical policy issues and develop the skills of teacher leaders and alumni across the state to engage in policy and advocacy.
Aubry has been in the early childhood field for over 9 years, focusing on various issues such as trauma-informed practices, inclusion for students with disabilities, family engagement, and fair wage compensation for early childhood educators. She has worked as an early childhood policy advocate within Illinois since serving as a Teach Plus Illinois Early Childhood Policy Fellow from 2019-2020 and had been an early childhood home visitor from 2020-2023.
Aubry has an M.S. in Early Childhood Studies from Walden University, specializing in Early Childhood Public Policy and Advocacy, and is currently pursuing an Ed.S. in Early Childhood Education with a focus on effecting change in early childhood systems through policy and advocacy.
