“Today’s verdict is a small but important step in our national reckoning with injustice―past and present―that persists across our country and is a daily blight on communities of color. When justice was served with the guilty verdict in the trial of the Arbery murder defendants, it sent a message to all those affected by racial violence and oppression about the humanity and dignity of every individual in our society.
