Aja Koester and her teachers are working to support students with inferencing in multiple genres. Aja teaches 12th grade world literature at Nava College Preparatory High School, where she serves on the governance council and the instructional leadership team, and is the English department chair. Aja previously taught 9th grade English and has worked with diverse levels from beginning English learners through honors. Aja was recognized as LAUSD Rookie Teacher of the Year during her first year of teaching. She graduated from University of California Los Angeles with a BA in English and a MEd in secondary education.
