Amanda Hope

Amanda Hope is a 2020-2021 Teach Plus Texas DFW Senior Policy Fellow. She currently serves as a K-5th grade Gifted/Talented Teacher at Nancy Moseley Elementary in Dallas ISD. Before relocating to Dallas, Amanda was a special education teacher for Chicago Public Schools where she was awarded several teaching grants including two grants from the Chicago Foundation for Education. She also had the opportunities to present at the 2014 Googlepalooza conference in Chicago and at the 2015 Council for Exceptional Children’s Division of International Special Education conference in Jerusalem, Israel-Palestine. She was recently awarded SMU’s Project CONNECT scholarship to pursue an ESL certification, which will strengthen her work in supporting and advocating for English learners. Amanda received her BA in Political Science from Whittier College and her MAT from National Louis University.
