Amanda Wenzell is a 2018-19 Teach Plus Colorado Teaching Policy Fellow. Amanda teaches 1st and 2nd grade special education at STRIVE Prep–Ruby Hill in Southwest Denver. She has also taught 3rd grade special education and high school life skills and has led her school in implementing Universal Design for Learning (UDL) practices. A Teach for America Colorado corps member, Amanda has served as branch manager at Colorado’s Food Bank of the Rockies. She earned a BA in Spanish and International Trade from Clemson University in South Carolina and has completed the ASPIRE to Teach Alternative Licensure Program at University of Colorado–Denver.
