Amie Reed is a 2019-20 Teach Plus Illinois Senior Teaching Policy Fellow. Amie teaches 7th grade English language arts and 8th grade science at Fulton Junior High in O’Fallon District 90, where she co-coaches Girls on the Run-Heart & Sole. Amie serves as her school’s Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Tier 2 team lead and is a member of the school leadership team and District 90’s Language Arts Curriculum Leadership Team. Previously, Amie was a 6th-8th grade academic interventionist and was an initial member of Fulton’s PBIS (Positive Behavior and Supports) Tier 1 team. She is an ASCD Emerging Leader, Google for Education Certified Trainer, and serves as one of Fulton’s building representatives for the O’Fallon Classroom Federation of Teachers. Amie received a BS in Elementary Education, an MA in English-Teaching English as a Second language, and an EdS in Education Administration-Teacher Leadership all from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
