Arturo Alvarado is a 2019-20 Teach Plus Texas DFW Policy Fellow. Arturo is a 5th grade bilingual teacher and member of CILT leadership in the personalized learning institution of Dan D Rogers Elementary. After running a small start up, Arturo discovered his passion for education volunteering in rural schools in East Texas and was named Teacher Rookie of the Year and runner up of Teacher of the Year. Arturo earned a BA in Business Administration and Human Resource Development from the University of Texas at Tyler and received an Alternative Teaching Certification and is pursuing a Masters in Educational Leadership from Instituto de Estudios Universitarios in Puebla, Mexico.
