Brad Evans

Brad Evans is a 2019-20 Teach Plus Nevada Policy Fellow. Brad is the English language learner (ELL) facilitator and instructional coach at Valley High School. He is a Clark County Education Association Representative, a member of the Nevada DOE State Superintendent’s Teacher Advisory Cabinet, and serves as the Vice President of Nevada TESOL. Brad has presented locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally at SNELS, CATESOL, NABE, and TESOL International conferences. He is an alum of the Public Education Foundation’s Teacher Leadership Academy, has represented the faculty on the school organizational team, and has served as a member of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Teacher Advisory Council from 2016 to 2018. He began his teaching career in Washington, D.C. and has since taught in Poitiers, France; Memphis, TN; Montreal, QC, Canada; and Las Vegas. Brad holds two BAs in English and Spanish from the Mississippi University for Women, an MA in Anglo-American Literatures and Cultures from the Université de Poitiers, an MA in TESOL and Applied Linguistics from the University of Memphis, an MEd in Educational Policy and Leadership from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and is currently completing his PhD in Education from McGill University.
