Brooke Lucero

Brooke Lucero is a 2019-20 Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellow. Brooke teachers K-6th grade students with special needs in all academic subject areas and social and life skills. She is a member of the Teacher Advocacy Leadership Institute facilitated by the Texas Charter School Association and has facilitated response to intervention, 504 and special education programming at her current campus. She has provided district training in behavioral and special education supports for students and worked with schools to implement effective Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) systems. She was Texas Charter School Associations’ Teacher of the Year in 2017. Brooke received her BA in General and Special Education from Arizona State University and her Masters in Educational Technology from Grand Canyon University.
