Celeste Graham is a 2019-20 Teach Plus Texas DFW Policy Fellow. Celeste teaches 7th grade history at the Young Men’s Leadership Academy at Fred Florence Middle School, where she serves on the vision and planning committee and as the head debate coach. Celeste has previously worked as a college persistence coordinator for the educational non-profit, Education is Freedom, and as a supplemental instruction leader for history and political science courses at the University of North Texas. She was a teaching fellow and an adjunct instructor in the women’s and gender studies department at the University of North Texas. She holds a BA in history and an MA in interdisciplinary studies with a focus in women’s and gender studies, and is pursuing a PhD in sociology with a focus in stratification and criminology from Texas Woman’s University.
