Charetta Williams is a 2018-19 Teach Plus Illinois Early Childhood Educator Fellow. Charetta is a paraprofessional in a prekindergarten classroom at Joseph E. Hill Early Childhood Education Center in Evanston, Illinois, where she piloted a schoolwide lending library for students and their families and is a member of the school climate team’s community engagement subcommittee. She is the vice president of her local Evanston Teacher Assistant Association (ETTA) union and was previously the secretary. She received an AA from Oakton Community College.
