Charla Washington is a 2020-21 Texas DFW Policy Fellow who coaches science teachers at The Leadership Academy at Forest Oak Middle School in Fort Worth, Texas. Charla is a member of the Science Teacher Association of Texas and was awarded Campus Teacher of the Year. She is a current fellow with the Teaching Trust and has previously taught 9th grade biology and served as Department chair, lead content teacher, team lead, a member of the Site Based Decision Making team and AVID site team member at Dunbar High School. She graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington with a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies.
