Chevonne Dixon is a 2018-19 Teach Plus Mississippi Teaching Policy Fellow. Chevonne teaches 3rd grade English language arts, math, science, and social studies at Walls Elementary School in Walls, Mississippi. Chevonne is a member of the multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) team, sponsors the drama club, and serves on the Mississippi Teacher’s Council. She previously taught at Tunica County and Greenville Public School District, where she was on the superintendent’s advisory council and was the project director for an arts commission grant. Chevonne has been Teacher of the Year for her current school and at two of her previous school districts. She graduated from Mississippi Valley State University with a BS in Elementary Education and received her MEd in Elementary Education from Mississippi Valley State University.
