Chrissie Souders is a 2021-2022 Teach Plus New Mexico Policy Fellow. Chrissie is a 5th grade English language arts teacher, grade level lead teacher, and student assistant team 5th grade coordinator. She teaches reading, language arts, and writing. Chrissie is currently a teacher liaison with the New Mexico Public Education Department and previously served as state ambassador with NMPED. She is also currently working on becoming a certified language therapist to work with dyslexic learners through the Scottish Rite Hospital. Chrissie earned her BS in Elementary Education with endorsements in Language Arts and Science and her MA in Interdisciplinary Studies with focus areas of Reading and Special Education from Western New Mexico University.
