Christina Shaul

Christina Shaul is a 2019-20 Teach Plus Indiana Change Agent Teacher Leader. Christina is a 5th and 6th grade English language arts and social studies teacher at Theodore Potter School 74 in Indianapolis. She began her teaching career as a special education teacher and has served in various leadership positions, including on the school’s leadership committee, immersion committee, curriculum and instruction committee, and lead teacher for high ability. She was the district magnet coordinator for IPS and led district work in developing and expanding magnet schools, grant writing, creating, planning, implementing, and evaluating curriculum for magnet schools. Christina was a 2019 Top Ten Teacher of the Year Finalist for Indianapolis Public Schools and the 2018-2019 Teacher of the Year at Theodore Potter School 74. She is a Teach Plus Indiana Policy Fellow and was a recipient of the Lilly Endowment Teacher Creativity Fellowship Program. Christina earned her BS in Elementary Education and Special Education from Ball State University and her MEd in Education from Indiana Wesleyan University.
