Christine Flynn is a 2018-19 Teach Plus Illinois Early Childhood Educator Fellow. Christine teaches 1st grade at Carl Von Linne Elementary School, where she serves as the gifted program coordinator for her school as well the school’s union delegate. Prior to teaching 1st grade, she served as the Reading First coordinator and lead literacy teacher at Carl Von Linne School and Peabody School. Christine has completed a year-long IREX/Fulbright fellowship, Teachers for Global Classrooms, which focused on developing students as global citizens. She received a BA in English literature from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, an MA in English literature from Depaul University, and a MEd in Literacy, Language and Culture and a MEd in Measurement, Evaluation, Statistics, and Assessment from University of Illinois at Chicago.
