Coza Perry

Coza Perry is a 2018-19 Teach Plus Colorado Teaching Policy Fellow. Coza teaches 6th, 7th, and 8th grade gifted and talented (GT) at Bear Valley International where she is helping to expand and develop the school’s GT programming. Previously, she taught at Cole Arts and Science Academy where she was a Denver Teaching Resident in 5th grade, a 3rd grade teacher for three years, and served two years as a reading interventionist and gifted and talented teacher. During her time at Cole, Coza was elected to represent the Cole staff on the first Teacher Advisory Council for the Luminary Learning Network, a council of teachers dedicated to planning teacher-driven cross-school professional development for the teachers at all four schools in Denver’s first Innovation Zone. Coza serves on the DPS District Accountability Committee. She graduated from Tufts University with a BA in English and earned her MA in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Denver.
