David Larakers is a 2018-19 Teach Plus Illinois Berkeley Teacher Leader. David is an 8th grade social studies teacher at Northlake Middle School. David has taught 6th grade self-contained, 6th grade math, 7th grade ELA, 8th grade ELA, and, 8th grade social studies since 2004. David began his career as an engineer, eventually transitioning into education by way of coaching. He currently coaches girls’ basketball and boys’ volleyball at Northlake Middle School. David earned an MA in Teaching from National Louis University and is in the process of earning his ESL endorsement through Benedictine University.
