Desiree Mitchell is a 2019-20 Teach Plus Commonwealth Policy Fellow. Desiree teaches 7th grade composition at Match Middle School in Jamaica Plain, MA. She is a host teacher and coach for the Sposato Graduate School program at Match. Before joining Match, Desiree taught at Brooke Charter School and Salem Academy Charter School. She is a Teach for America alum and serves on the Teach for America Massachusetts Alumni Advisory Board. Desiree graduated from Rogers State University with a BS in Social Sciences and earned her MEd in Curriculum and Instruction from Boston University School of Education. Desiree received a JD from Northeastern University School of Law.
