Dianne Burpo

Dianne Burpo is 2019-20 Teach Plus Indiana Policy Fellow. Dianne remediates struggling 1st grade readers in a reading recovery program at Ouabache Elementary School in Terre Haute, IN. She is also a Title I teacher who works with K-2 intervention/ enrichment groups and serves as a leader on the school’s core team. Dianne volunteers as a representative with the Indiana State Teachers Association. She has taught 1st grade and full day kindergarten for over two decades and is National Board certified as an early childhood generalist. Dianne has been recognized by the Vigo County Education Foundation with an “Excellence in Education” award and by WTHI-TV with a Golden Apple Award. She graduated from Indiana State University with a BS in Elementary Education and an MS in Early Childhood Education.
