Dominicca Washington is a 2018-19 Teach Plus Illinois Teaching Policy Fellow. Dominicca is a 9th grade English teacher at Julian High School in Chicago. She has previously taught 1st-5th grades in Chicago Public Schools and the DeKalb County School System in Georgia. She is co-founder and the Executive Director of SHE Chicago, a character education-based after-school program for teen girls. Dominicca has published articles on Education Post and on her personal blog, The Theory of Troi. She earned a BA in English Language and Literature from Clark Atlanta University and a MEd in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University.
