Kevin-Paul “KP” Edwards

Kevin-Paul Edwards is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Policy Fellow. Kevin-Paul is a third-grade English language arts teacher at Hon. Munoz-Marin Elementary School in Philadelphia. In addition to teaching, Kevin-Paul supports their school by advocating for teachers and students as a representative on their school’s teacher union building committee. Kevin-Paul began their teaching career as a Teach For America Corps member in Wilmington, Delaware. Kevin-Paul was selected by the National Endowment for the Humanities to research the local history in Thomasville, Georgia, and to develop educational resources for the Thomasville History Center and Museum. Kevin-Paul  serves in an elected position as the Majority Inspector for their local ward and district for Teach for America. They earned a BA degree in history from California State University, an MA in teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education, and an MEd in urban school leadership from Temple University.
