Elizabeth Gibbons is a 2019-20 Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellow. Elizabeth is a Pre-K dual language teacher at Tynan Early Childhood Education Center in San Antonio, where she serves as a science committee and Monarch Heroes committee member, and has participated in the Dynamic Innovation for Young Children cohort. She has served as a bilingual lead teacher, campus web coordinator, Texas Literacy Initiative leadership team member, UTSA student teacher mentor, and as a new teacher mentor. She was awarded Teacher of the Year from San Antonio ISD and has received several grants to help her students have field experiences and enrich outdoor learning. She earned a BA in Psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio and is pursuing a MA in Early Childhood Education at Texas A&M University-San Antonio.
