Elizabeth O. Jiménez is a 2018-19 Teach Plus Illinois Teaching Policy Fellow. Elizabeth teaches 3rd grade ELA, math, social studies, science and English at Maercker Intermediate School, where she serves on the Building Leadership Team and Instructional Leadership Team. She previously taught in Berwyn South School District 100, where she still serves as vice president of the school board. She is a board member of AWAKE and the Illinois Education Association and is a founding member of Berwyn Community Action Group, a social justice organization. She received a BA in bilingual/bicultural education from Illinois State University and an MA in School Leadership from Concordia University.
