Emily Hogan is a 2019-20 Teach Plus Illinois Policy Fellow. Emily is a 1st grade teacher at Oriole Park School on the northwest side of Chicago. As a member of her school’s instructional leadership team, she has facilitated staff professional development in restorative practices. She also serves as the secretary and teacher representative on the local school council. Emily coordinates the Out Of School Time Grant Program, which brings to her school creative, teacher-led extracurricular classes for students of all grade levels. She earned a BA in Elementary Education from Elmhurst College.
