Erica Valdez is a 2019-20 Teach Plus Policy Fellow. Erica teaches biology at Del Valle Opportunity Center, where she serves as science department chair and new teacher mentor. She was named Teacher of the Year for her campus for the 2015-16 school year and was a Robert Noyce Teaching Scholar prior to beginning her work as a teacher. Erica earned a BS in Biology and minor in Education from St. Edward’s University in Austin.
