Gavin Laughlin

Gavin Laughlin is a 2018-19 Teach Plus Commonwealth Teaching Policy Fellow. Gavin teaches 6th grade at KIPP Academy Boston (KAB) in Mattapan, where he is content lead and participates in curriculum and assessment planning. Prior to teaching at KAB, Gavin was a founding teacher at Northeast Academy in D.C., a charter school also a part of the KIPP network. Gavin has worked for Education Reform Now as a political manager, campaigning to elect legislative champions for kids. Gavin graduated from Georgetown University with a BA with honors in English and Government, from the Capital Teaching Residency program in D.C., and from the New Teacher Project (TNTP) secondary educator training program.
