Germaine Hampton is a 2021-2022 Teach Plus Mississippi Policy Fellow and is a high school social studies teacher at West Tallahatchie High School in Webb. Hampton teaches US History (post-Reconstruction to the Modern Era), Local Culture and AP Government & Politics. He serves as the Social Studies Departmental Chairperson and as a member of West Tallahatchie High School’s leadership team. Hampton was named 2016 West Tallahatchie School District’s Teacher of the Year and has received multiple Teacher of the Month awards during his tenure at West Tallahatchie High School. He earned his BA in Education from the University of Mississippi.
