Gonzalo Rodriguez is a 2020-21 Texas Policy Fellow. He teaches 7th grade reading and writing at Audie Murphy Middle School in Alamo, Texas, where he also serves as a UIL Ready Writing Coach and girls’ athletics cross country/long-distance track coach. Within his district, Gonzalo serves as a lead curriculum writer for the district’s middle school ELA content area and was previously a presenter for his district’s New Teacher Institute. He is a recent graduate of H-E-B’s first cohort of their education leadership institute, The Holdsworth Center’s Campus Leadership Program. Gonzalo is a Teach for America alumnus who has continued to teach in his placement region and campus. Gonzalo graduated with a BA in Political Science from Texas A&M University.
