Jens Hauge is a 2020-2021 Teach Plus Policy Fellow. He is a Master Teacher in a 2nd and 3rd-grade classroom at the Advanced Learning Academy, which specializes in multi-aging and project-based learning. He currently facilitates a monthly discussion group to support fellow educators in his school. Jens has sponsored several clubs on topics ranging from novel writing to computer coding. Jens previously taught in a gifted and talented classroom in Vancouver, Washington. He was an AmeriCorps volunteer for two years in Washington State, where he focused on reading development with K-5 students. He holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Political Economy and Labor Studies from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, and a Masters in Teaching from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon.
