Joel Lookadoo is a member of the Teach Plus Arkansas Teacher Advisory Board and is an eight-year educator in Springdale, Arkansas. He has served as an instructional facilitator and Algebra 1 and 2 teacher. Joel has facilitated professional development on teaching English Learners and is committed to creating classroom cultures that empower students and foster high expectations for all students. Joel is ESL certified and is a National Board Certified teacher in High School Mathematics. He is also the 2020 Arkansas Teacher of the Year. He earned his BSE in Mathematics Education from the University of Central Arkansas and a MSE in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University.
