Jordan DeSanto

Jordan DeSanto is a 2019-20 Teach Plus Illinois Early Childhood Educator Policy Fellow. Jordan teaches early childhood special education for 3-5 year-olds. She serves on the building leadership team and is the early childhood team leader in her building. Jordan previously taught in the Oak Park Elementary District and Pleasantdale District 107 as a middle school special education teacher. In Oak Park, she served as the co-organizer/facilitator of the middle school-level parent group for 5 year-year-olds. Jordan has been nominated for the Those Who Excel Award in 2010 and 2013 and received the SEA Star award in 2011 by the Supported Education Association (SEA) for making a significant and positive difference in the lives of students receiving special education services. Jordan received two BAs from Concordia University Chicago in Elementary Education and Special Education, an MEd in Curriculum and Instruction-Autism Studies Option from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, and has an endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education from National Louis University.
