Jordan Lanfair is a 2019-20 Teach Plus Illinois Policy Fellow. Jordan is a middle school English teacher at Paul Revere Elementary School in Chicago’s Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood, where he serves as the coordinator for the student voice committee. Prior to teaching in CPS, Jordan worked as an elementary teacher in Galesburg CUSD #205 before pursuing international teaching opportunities. He serves as a Community Council member for Children’s Literacy Initiative in Chicago, has received the Crystal Apple from the Golden Apple Foundation, was selected as a Teacher of Distinction by Representative Danny K. Davis’s office, and is a Chicago Youth Center “Yes I Can” Adult Achievement award recipient. Jordan is a graduate of Knox College with a BA in Elementary Education and Language, Pedagogy, and Culture, and holds an MEd in Educational Leadership from Concordia University-Portland and an EdS in Administration and Supervision from National Louis University.
