Justo Echaverry is a 2019-20 Teach Plus Texas DFW Policy Fellow. Justo is a bilingual teacher of 3rd grade math and science at Cesar Chavez Learning Center in Dallas ISD. He is a teacher leader within the Accelerating Campus Excellence (ACE) program, where he has served since the program’s inception in 2015. Justo has spearheaded the implementation of restorative practices and social and emotional learning programs, provided professional development on best practices, and coached peer teachers to nurture their growth and academic excellence. Justo serves as a TEI Campus Expert and is part of the DISD Alternative Certification Teacher Preparation Cadre and is a Teaching Trust Teams Ed-Fellow. He has earned a Distinguished Teacher rating since the Teacher Excellence Initiative (TEI) began in 2015. Justo graduated from the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua with a BS in Economics and is pursuing his MEd from Concordia University.
